22nd April 2023	Troon Portland v Cambuslang
Our bi-annual away fixture with Troon Portland Bowling Club took place this afternoon with a bus load of bowlers and wives heading off at 12 o'clock from the club, arriving in Troon at 1pm. The clubs play a friendly match each year and compete for the 'Lotte Montgomery' salver which was presented to the clubs in 1997.  Cambuslang being the holders of the trophy were hoping to hold on to it... and we did, winning convincingly. With Troon Portland B.C. celebrating their 125th year, President Johnny McKillop presented Troon Portland President Douglas Graham with a commemorative quaich. A quaich being an ancient Scottish tradition to seal bonds of friendship, in this case, between our two clubs

~ ~ ~   14 May 2023   James Page  Sad to announce that after a long illness James Page has died.  James was a member of  Cambuslang B.C. for  25 years, a real character  around the place who will be missed by many. Teams for Saturday's annual parish game against Templeton BC. :- Cambuslang BC will supply Templeton with 5 players to make up the numbers. Nice bowling weather, plenty of refreshments and the final score for the bowls was Cambuslang 44 v Templeton 51.
