Cambuslang's very own raconteur, Jim Torrance!

Guest Speakers:
Joe Camay and John Gilligan
 ~
Joe Camay's comedy ''career'' began at the sharp end in social clubs and he had a quick taste of TV when he appeared in a comedy series with amongst others, Alan Stewart and Dave Spikey. Over the next few years more TV appearances followed with the likes of Alaistar McGowan, Bill Bailley, Lee Evans and Fred McAuley. Joe was also featured in 3 TV adverts for Belhaven beer.
He has appeared on TV with Bob Monkhouse and Des O' Connor and in numerous theatres around Britain. Joe has performed on North sea oilrigs and in prisons. He has worked in N.Ireland, Dubai and Florida. Over the last few years Joe has mainly worked the Sportsmen's after-dinner circuit, where he has created a niche for his brand of grown-up humour.   He is an award -winning after-dinner comedian (the award was for bee keeping).

John Gilligan
was part of the Dave King historic Rangers takeover. A lifelong Rangers fan, the first game he properly remembers was against Real Madrid in 1963 when we lost 1-0. There was 90-odd thousand people there and he was 11. It was an incredible experience – he was hooked.

John is a prominent Glasgow businessman and a lifelong Rangers fan. A former managing director of Tennents, he was previously head of sales at Tennents Caledonian Breweries and before that worked for rival brewers Scottish & Newcastle and Dryburghs.
He was a close personal friend of the late Sandy Jardine.

2017 is Cambuslang BC's 7th Sportsmans dinner organised by Past President and social convenor John McKillop
John uses his many contacts to get us excellent speakers & this night I'm sure will be another resounding success
Good food, a bar, plenty patter and fun!
