CBC v
Troon Portland |
A busload of
bowlers from Troon
Portland BC arrived at
our club for our
bi-annual visit
The clubs play a
friendly match each
year and compete for
the 'Lotte Montgomery
memorial ' salver
which was presented to
the clubs in 1997.
This year it was won
convincingly and
retained by Cambuslang
BC
As always we had a
great day with our
friends from Troon
Portland and the sun
was shining in
splendid glory!

Robinson with Troon

Past
President Sandy
Knox |
2001
|
Just received the sad news
that Past President Sandy
Knox died on the 11th
June.
Sandy was President of
Cambuslang Bowling Club in
1998 and as a member
played in many tournaments
within and outwith the
club.
On the 10th anniversary of
our Alex MacFarlane
Charity Tournament in May
2001 he won
that year playing in the
rink with Colin Thomson,
Robert Park and Scott
Crichton.
Sandy hadn't been a member
for a number of years,
rejoining a few years ago
but we had not seen much
of him as of late. Our
sincere sympathies go to
his family at this sad
time.
Funeral is on Tuesday 21st
at 12.45 at Daldowie
Crematorium, west chapel.
