Sad to report that our Lady President Janet Dawson passed away this morning after a short illness.

Janet had been the Lady President three times 2007, 2020 and this year, 2021.

Janet has two daughters Elaine and Marion and her son in law David Allison is a member.

Lady President Janet Dawson's funeral arrangements have been confirmed as Thursday 9th September at 3.pm in South Lanarkshire Crematorium, Sydes Brae, Blantyre.
Then back to Cambuslang Bowling Club after the service. Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time.

On 28th Dec 2021 Derek suffered a major stroke and was rushed to Hairmyres Hospital, sadly he never recovered and passed away that evening.
Derek was born in Castlederg in Northern Ireland and came to Scotland when a teenager.
Married Ann and they had two children Carolann and Derek.
He joined our club in 2005 and very quickly established himself as the type of member all clubs need...... a worker.
He helped look after and maintain the fabric of the club as well as partaking in some gardening work.
A fabulous member who won the hearts and admiration of the club members. His efforts were rewarded in 2007 when he became a Director and was on the Greens & House committees.
He hadn't been a member for a number of years and laterally his health kept him at home. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Ann and all the family.
